Kayla created and became the Initiative Director for Blackmagic Collective's Career Advancement Diversity Initiative, Emerging Actors, which was an eight month intensive program for vetted professional actors who have starred in several indie projects. This initiative worked closely with the First Frame Initiative for vetted new and upcoming directors who have the opportunity to direct the professional actors and receive redirection from veteran directors in the industry. These initiatives took classes and workshops with Champions such as Tiffany Little Canfield, Kate Rhodes James, Katie Locke O'Brien, Michael Kostroff, Bonnie Gillespie, and many more.
